About the Program
- Hosted in The Anti-Cruelty Society’s auditorium with various field trips.
- Participants: 10-12 year-olds. Space is limited to 30 students.
- Fees/Scholarship Details: $325 registration fee for the 10-day camp.
- Scholarships will be available.

| July 16 | Decisions, Decisions…. | City Farm/ Growing Power |
Look at daily choices; identifying those choices that do more good and less harm. |
| July 17 | How Much Did That Really Cost? | Green Heart | Kind shopping; every dollar we spend has the power to help. |
| July 18 | Be Upstanding; Don’t be a Bystander |
A fun workshop led by Imagination Theater, using acting to explore how we can all take a stand for others. | |
| July 19 | Being a Hero for our Furry Friends | Learn how to care forcompanion animals in our homes and communities. | |
| July 22 | Entertaining Animals | Animals can be fantastic ambassadors for their breed and/or conservation, but they should always be treated with respect. | |
| July 23 | Save the Planet! | Willowbrook Wildlife Center | Tour the facility, take a walk on the nature trail, and learn about the now extinct passenger pigeon. |
| July 24 | Tell a Tall Tale (of Tails) | Comic books, novels, action movies… find examples of humane heroes and learn how to tell a compelling story. | |
| July 25 | Keep It Clean | Chicago Beach | Visit a local beach, learn about the global connections of waterways, and conduct a cleanup. Afterward, reward ourselves with a fun picnic at the beach (with clean hands, of course). |
| July 26 | Celebrate Good Times… Come On! |
Transform into your very own humane super hero. Present to the group on how we have become empowered to make this world a better place. |
