AKC Good Citizen Prep Course & Test

 

 

 

 

 

 

Get your dog certified as a Canine Good Citizen! Our CGC Prep Course will ready you and your dog for the American Kennel Club title. The AKC CGC test includes a series of ten evaluations that will test your dog's self-control and training skills in everyday settings. The Prep Course is a three-week class that will cover each evaluation and provide tips to help you and your dog succeed. At the end of the course, the Canine Good Citizen Exam will be administered by an AKC CGC Approved Evaluator. No prior training is required. The course is open to dogs over four months of age (all dogs six months  or older must be  spayed/neuteredand) proof of vaccinations is required. The cost is for the three-week class and test is $60.

 
If you wish, you may take the CGC test without attending the CGC Prep Course. The CGC Test is open to all dogs that are vaccinated against rabies. Prior training is not a requirement. The cost is $10.
