Graphic Design Intern
The Anti-Cruelty Society is accepting resumes for a Graphic Design Intern. This internship will provide hands-on work experience to a highly motivated student interested in obtaining design experience for a small non-profit organization.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with web and publication materials for the Society;
- Taking creative direction for specific projects and aiding the team in ensuring that the outcome fits our brand and the overall business objectives while helping to maintain client relationships;
- Working collaboratively with other creative team members, internal departments, and account teams to lend support on creative and organizational duties;
- No more than 25% of the work assigned while in this role will be considered administrative.
The successful intern must a high school diploma or equivalent, currently in a Visual Communications program with strong organization, design, and problem-solving skills. Must be self-motivated and have a proactive work ethic to complete multiple tasks and projects. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills while paying attention to details. Knowledge of digital file production, preparation, and formatting with the ability to efficiently utilize computer tools including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, QuarkXPress, Acrobat, and PowerPoint.
Internship eligibility includes Junior/Senior standing, has approval from an Internship Coordinator and must be at least 18 years of age. Must currently be enrolled in a visual communications program with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Must able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week with the ability to handle work around companion animals, particularly cats. Working at a computer for an extended period of time is also required. Must have respect for animals and believe in the mission of The Anti-Cruelty Society.
