Working Through Pet Loss
Wednesday 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
This open educational group is dedicated to working through the emotional rollercoaster that can occur when we lose a beloved pet. Whether it is sudden or long-time coming, the permanence of a pet?s death can take its toll on thoughts and emotions that are a natural part of the healing process.
The group facilitator, Mark Bilkey, has over 15 years of experience in guiding individuals through the loss and transition process.
The support group meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the Month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There is no charge but pre-registration is required. To register call Tammie Bouschor at (312) 644-8338 ext. 344 or e-mail tbouschor@anticruelty.org.

Bark in the Park is a 5K/3.1 mile run/walk with or without your dog to raise funds and awareness for The Anti-Cruelty Society: Chicago's oldest and largest, open-admission, animal welfare organization.
Activities include canine obstacle and agility courses, demonstrations, exhibits, free product samples from small business sponsors, Denise Zak, Animal Intuitive, family fun tent?plus free snacks, raffle, souvenir photos, 50/50 raffle, and much more.

Pet First Aid & CPR
Saturday 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
If your pet has a medical emergency will you be prepared? This course, taught by an American Red Cross authorized instructor, will cover Pet First Aid and CPR techniques. The emphasis will be on cats and dogs. Cat and Dog manikins will be used. Please do not bring your pet to class. The course length is 3 hours. The course fee is $50. It includes course materials, a pet emergency planner and pet emergency stickers. The Dog First Aid book and DVD set and Cat First Aid book and DVD set are not included in the course fee. The book and DVD sets will be made available for purchase at a cost of $16.95 each.

The $50 course fee must be made prior to the class date. All classes will be held in The Anti-Cruelty Society Education and Training Center located at 169 W. Grand Avenue. Helping Community Cats Workshop
Monday 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Are you tired of seeing roaming cats and kittens everywhere in your neighborhood? Do you want to find out how you can help them and stop future generations from being born in your community? Join representatives from Alley Cat Allies and Tree House Animal Foundation for a short workshop on how to educate your neighbors, create a safety net for cats and stop the cycle of breeding in your neighborhood.
