Animal Explorer Camp
Animal Explorers Camp invites middle school students to start making a difference in their world. This camp provides a meaningful opportunity for 6th-8th grade students to discover the amazing world of animals. Campers will be mentored by staff from two of Chicago’s most note-worthy organizations- The Anti-Cruelty Society and the Jane Goodall Institute's Roots and Shoots.

Campers will get a chance to see the inner-workings of the largest animal shelter in the Midwest, interacting with kennel attendants, veterinary staff, a humane investigator and many four-legged residents!
Other highlights include a visit to the Hoofed Animal Humane Society in Woodstock, IL and an experience on the Chicago River. A theme of “making a difference for animals” is intertwined throughout the week and the class will have several service learning opportunities.
