Community Outreach
The Community Outreach Program exists as part of The Anti-Cruelty Society's mission to prevent cruelty to animals and advance humane education. Created with community groups in mind, the Outreach program specializes in presentations for CAPS (Chicago Alternative Policing Strategy) Beat Meetings, block clubs, churches and other organizations that strive to improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods. The Outreach Specialist can address topics such as:
- Dog Fighting & How To Stop It In Your Neighborhood
- Animal Abuse & Neglect
- The Link between Animal Abuse & Human-Directed Violence
- Animal Overpopulation
- Safety Around Stray Animals & Preventing Dog Bites
The Outreach Specialist can also inform on the many services The Society has to offer, including:
- Low-cost Spay/Neuter Programs
- Animal Adoptions
- Humane Education Programs
- Humane Investigations
