Introducing Ashley!  At 8 years old, Ashley is a lovable girl.  She came to the shelter when her owner could no longer care for her.  Ashley is a calm and quiet girl who has a slightly playful side.  She enjoys attention and with one look from those big green eyes of hers, it will be hard to resist giving in to her! Pepsi #19275070

Pepsi is a friendly and playful 2-year old English Bulldog/Boxer mix.  She is very affectionate and seeks contact with people.  In fact, Pepsi stars in her very own video where you can see her out-and-about having fun, just click HERE to see it!  Pepsi definitely has some training background and responds nicely to several cues.  These foundations will be useful in her further training, as she will need some help with learning to change her reaction to dogs and learning to willingly give up items when asked.  Pepsi is a sweet girl who will make a lovely companion for a family who provides her with appropriate guidance and training. Annie is a special cat looking for a special someone. This 11-year old cutie was brought to us by her mother, who is very sick and no longer able to care for her. It broke mom's heart to give her up, and we can see why. Annie may take some time to warm up to people but once she does, she loves them!! Annie is quite talkative and will happily tell you about her day when you come home from work, then listen to all you have to say about yours. An older girl, Annie doesn't require a lot of play time; rolling on the floor and stretching are her regular forms of exercise. As the saying goes, with age comes wisdom and Annie knows what she likes. Annie does have her limits for petting, especially early in a relationship. She lived with cats but would likely be happiest as the only apple of your eye. Dakota #19429101

Dakota is a friendly and fun 1-year old Black Lab mix who is super-playful, bouncy and active.  He will be really happy to find a home with a very active family.  This guy came to us from a shelter in Central Illinois, and he's pretty stressed.  We hope that he'll be able to shed some of that stress as he becomes acclimated to the rules and routines of a stable home.  Lengthy doses of physical and mental exercise also seem to help him settle.  Like any teenage dog, he'll of course benefit from consistent boundaries, supervision and guidance as he learns what's expected.  He appears to have some training background, but will need your help to refine his self-control, basic manners and food bowl behavior. Duke is a handsome 6-year old Lab mix!  Duke is an excitable guy who has tons of energy and love to give! He is very strong and pulls on his leash so he would fit best with an experienced handler who can manage his adolescent antics. Duke is friendly towards other dogs but often comes on too strong, a bit too forward when initiating play. While his self-control can be poor around other dogs, he mellows out when his human companions are calm. With a little structure and training, Duke would be a great companion for an active owner.
