Our Bully Buddies

This adoption program is designed to find some very special dogs new homes. Dogs featured on this page will not be found among our general adoption population and can be seen by appointment only.

We are excited that you are showing an interest in one of our Bully Buddies and that you would like to schedule a visit with one.  But to do that we need to receive a completed Adoption Application.

You can download an adoption application (Adobe Reader required).  Please complete the form answering all questions thoroughly and send it by fax to (312) 644-3878 Attn: Tamra.  Or send it by mail to: The Anti-Cruelty Society, 157 W. Grand Ave., Chicago IL 60654  Attn: Tamra.  You can also contact Tamra via e-mail.

Remember to include at the top of the application the name of the dog(s) that you are most interested in seeing.

Please note that we evaluate animals on a regular basis and new dogs are added when available.  Please check back regularly to see new additions to this program.

Pit Bull Terriers are wonderful dogs.  However, they are not the pet for all households.  We encourage you to do extensive research on the breed and what will be required of you to be a responsible owner of a Pit Bull Terrier.  An excellent online resource would be www.badrap.org to get you started in your research.

Visit our Adoption Page for general information and adoption requirements. Each Bully Buddy adoption comes with additional benefits! See the Pit Package page for more information!

The Anti-Cruelty Society reserves the right to accept/deny applications based on the particular needs of the animal.

Coco #10467164

Say hello to Coco, a gorgeous, absolute dear of an eight-month-old Pit Bull Terrier mix! This darling dog was somewhat frightened when she first arrived here at Anti-Cruelty but soon warmed up to our staff. Now she wiggles and jumps for joy whenever she sees people and launches herself into laps for pets and attention.  She loves dogs, food, and bones, but her favorite thing is love from humans. She is just beginning to learn good manners and obedience, but given how attentive she is with people she should be a fun and easy dog to train. With her big heart and soft eyes, Coco is quite the catch and would do well in a home with older children or perhaps another pooch for her to play with. Call today to make an appointment to meet the irresistible Coco.

To meet Coco, please download an adoption application (Adobe Reader required) and fax it to (312) 644-3878. Please be sure to write her name and number (10467164) on the application!
Smokey #10000723

Stop by and say hi to Smokey, a two year old gentleman of a Pit Bull! This well-mannered pooch is sweet and playful with both people and dogs and he absolutely adores the attention he receives from both. Smokey has a soft face and beautiful eyes which look even better when coupled with his amazing personality. He has quickly learned basic obedience, he takes treats very gently and he is not jumpy or pushy in his affections so Smokey could do well in a variety of homes, including one with children past toddler age. In fact, under the tutelage of Anti-Cruelty staff and volunteers this brilliant boy is already well on his way to becoming a Canine Good Citizen! Whether walking nicely on leash or giving polite kisses, this is a Bully Buddy you will be glad to have around.
To meet Smokey, please download an adoption application (Adobe Reader required) and fax it to (312) 644-3878. Please be sure to write his name and number (10000723) on the application!
