In an effort to find out which city has the most love for shelter pets, The Anti-Cruelty Society and The Animal Protective Association of Missouri battled it out head-to-head, or tail-to-tail, to see who could raise the most money for shelter pets. This Cubs vs. Cardinals rivalry took place throughout the month of April when the Cardinals came to Wrigley Field to play the Cubs on April 23.

We are sorry to report that we have lost the Cubs/Cards rivalry competition: The Animal Protective Association of Missouri did a great job and raised a total of $3,722. We came in at $2,670. Thank you to everyone who Stepped Up to the Plate and helped us raise money! In the end, the animals are the winners here! We look forward to a rematch next year with APA and hope to win it big!
